Sunday

Prayer:  Lord,  You have walked with the communion of saints.  Be our companion now and in the days to come.  Embrace us in Your steadfast love and give us that deep peace which comes as we live in You and You live in us.  This we ask in Jesus’ name.  Amen.   (PCC The Book of Common Worship)

This is my Mom's   Christmas present.    She changed her bedding ensemble from pink to cadet blue and needs a topper for her blanket box.   The fabrics are from Keepsake Quilting online  and Marshall's  Fabric store in Winnipeg.    From Keepsake Quilting,  I ordered the 2 1/2" strips and 10" squares in this fabric line.  When I went to create the fans,  I discovered that the 2 1/2" strips were too small width-wise for this project.   So,  do you know what the 40 - 2 1/2" strips are now called?   The next project of course :)

Photo of the quilting... and a shadow in the lower right corner .....  I'd love to say that this shadow was from the camera but alas,  it is a shadow of my uncombed early morning hair --  hair that upon rising looks extremely familiar to a certain clown character of the "Simpsons" TV Show. Hummm.
The quilting was fun to do on this topper.
Batting:  Warm and Natural  Cotton and Polyester
Thread:  Gutermann
Size:  14" x 40"
Fabric lines:  Shabby Chic - Cambray Rose  and Blueberry Crumble
Blockbase Pattern:  3305    (This pattern has a very small background Big Arc template.  I added more to the background template so that fans would be shown off by themselves and not mixed directly in with the next fan)

Many blessings!
